I recently watched the NY knicks win the national NBA championship and listened to the players’ interviews afterwards. A lot of them said something along the lines of it was our destiny to win this championship. After 50 years of not winning, it was their time to finally do so. It reminded me of the simple truth that dreams do come true, like imagine being a Knicks fan all of these years and being disappointed time and time again, to only then triumph in the end – after decades of not doing so. It gave me hope that despite all of the obstacles, despite all of the time elapsed, despite all of the upset, there is still a possibility of getting what your heart truly desires. Brunson, the MVP on the Knicks, said in an interview that he was always told he wouldn’t amount to anything as a basketball player due to his height, etc, but he continued anyway. Despite all of the noise around something not coming to fruition, if you truly want it and if it is meant for you, nothing in this world can stop it from happening. The important thing is to have faith and hold space for it manifesting – or in other words never give up on that which you desire deeply. It may happen at the least expected moment, like the quote “always keep your line cast, when you least expect it, there will be fish.”
Keep that line cast and believe.
Peace.
