Letting Go

One of the hardest things we can do in life is to let go – sometimes that requires us to say goodbye to a loved one or maybe it’s a simple goodbye to a life that once was but is no longer. We must be able to differentiate between holding on and letting go. Oftentimes, when we are on the precipice of change, we want to hold on to whatever is familiar and comfortable, but that’s not what helps us to grow and become all that we are. We will be presented with ample opportunities to truly release that which no longer serves us in order to move into a new chapter offering growth, healing and the like, but we must be willing to say YES! In doing so, we allow ourselves to fly free and pursue our destiny. God always has the final word – even if you don’t take advantage of an opportunity or walk through an open door – there will ALWAYS be another chance, as that’s how God works; God is redemptive, forgiving, and giving. No matter how many detours we take in life, we will ultimately arrive at the destination that is meant for us. Sometimes, that requires us to be patient, and wait, and expect good things to come our way. And when they do, we must be ready to LET GO of the OLD and WELCOME in the NEW.

Don’t give up quite yet…

Peace.
