I had an experience with an energy healer not too long ago. At the beginning of our session, she told me she saw my grandma, Audi, come to her (she had recently passed away). She said Audi showed her a hand brushing up against some tall golden grasses, and then the healer asked me what that could possibly mean. I told her that I had no idea – no memories of us being amidst such grasses came to mind. It wasn’t until about a month or so later, I was at my house but suddenly felt drawn to go visit Audi’s home. After she passed, her house was sold to the neighbor but unfortunately, it stayed vacant quite a bit so I would frequent it just out of nostalgia. I drove over to her house and parked in the driveway. In that moment, I saw a vivid picture of a hand brush atop some golden grasses – the very same image that Audi had shown the healer – and I felt a strong urge to watch the final scene of the movie, Gladiator. In that scene, Marcus Aurelias dies and opens the gates of heaven, and the first thing he does is brush his hand against some golden grasses. I immediately felt chills run up and down my spine. The song playing during that scene has lyrics that go something like, “now you are free.” At various moments of my life when I was required to make a big life decision, like I had arrived at a fork in the road of sorts, I saw those golden grasses, like Audi comes to me and tells me, “you are on the right track” or she encourages me to take the road that leads to my freedom.
