Fly Away Home

I was walking my pup Duke this morning and decided to go visit my grandma’s house, on my dad’s side. She passed away years ago, but I still every now and then visit her home, just either do a drive by or park in the driveway and see if I can connect with her in some way, as the current owners’ of her home are selling it. Today, we stood in the driveway, I just stayed open to receiving any messages. In that moment, I heard a flock of geese start to “honk,” but since there were like 200 of them it sounded like a symphony of noises! Duke and I turned to look in the direction of the sounds and right then, all of the geese took off and started to fly overhead. I knew it wasn’t a coincidence and that it was Audi coming to me. I wondered what her message was and started to reflect on it on the walk back. I’ve always associated geese with “home,” simply because of the movie “fly away home,” and also due to a recent experience I had while pup sitting. I was sitting on this couple’s balcony, overlooking the water, chatting with someone close to me and in that moment, I saw some geese fly above me and he mentioned something about this little astronaut light fixture that he has in his house. The very same astronaut that a friend of mine has in his son’s room in his house in Montana. I told him, the geese were, “flying home for the winter,” and right after that comment he told me he wanted to turn on the astronaut in his house. I thought to myself what uncanny timing, and associated the experience with me flying home to Montana, a place where I feel completely settled and at ease, like my true North so to speak. Maybe Audi came to me this morning to reassure me I am on the right path. Continue on. One step then another. Or maybe she was telling me, soon, I will be home. Have patience dear, the end is near. Either way, it brought me great comfort and ease to see all of that go down, right before my very eyes. Thank you Audi! I love you and miss you.

Fly home, dear readers.

Peace.
